Although Happy Glamper’s focus is strongly on the Mornington Peninsula every now and then we like to embark on adventure projects, such as Jessie travelling to Byron Bay to provide glamping for the ‘Local Milk’ Slow Living Retreat in April 2015. Jessie was getting itchy feet again when she was approached by Dig + Fish and Brown Brothers to provide tents for a wild camping experience on the east coast of Tasmania. It was easy to say yes to the adventure since part of Jessie’s childhood was spent in Tasmania and we’re huge fans of Pinot Noir! The event, held…
Happy Glamper has been listed at the top of The Culture Trip’s recent article ‘Australia’s Top 5 Places for Glamping’! We are so chuffed, thanks guys! Congratulations to the other four businesses, we are huge fans of them all! Check out the article here or see below for the excerpt: Australia’s Top 5 Places For Glamping Queen-sized beds, electric blankets, bar fridges and candles – none of these items are what you would expect to find at a campsite. But they’re becoming more common, as glamorous camping, or glamping, increases in popularity. The Australian Travellerreported a strong growth in the…
Peninsula Essence, a magazine dedicated to living and visiting the Mornington Peninsula, has featured a 4-page spread on Happy Glamper! Their article was entitled ‘Putting The Glam Into Camping‘. It was so lovely meeting journalist Melissa Walsh and photographer Jarryd Bravo in Point Leo where we had set up a Lotus Belle for the article. Jarryd and his girlfriend stayed in the tent overnight to capture the essence of our glamping experiences and some night imagery! The Broadsheet NEXT Guide recently published an article entitled “Camping, But Not As You Know It” by Imogen Eveson. Happy Glamper popped up in the feature, along with some other great Australian glamping services. Take a look! Image: Elle DS Photography __________ Camping is synonymous with heavy packs, damp sleeping bags and baked beans over an open fire. Or at least, it was. Across the Australian countryside, clusters of bell tents are popping up with all the trimmings of a boutique hotel. With ceilings high enough to allow you to stand, these tents come fully furnished with luxury bedding, rugs…
Happy Glamper has been featured in the October 2015 issue of PrimoLife in WA! Trish Gallager from Ink and Cleaver wrote: When I was a young girl, my mother took me to the cinema to see the movie ‘Out of Africa’ with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. One scene from the film that is etched in my memory is Mr Redford standing by a bubbling rivulet washing Ms Streep’s hair from an enormous jug and a fancy bucket. Not being a particular romantic child or adult for that matter, it was one of those moments I was determined to recreate…
