Adventure to Devil’s Corner, Tasmania

By | Bell Tents, Event Hire, Glamping Australia, Media

Although Happy Glamper’s focus is strongly on the Mornington Peninsula every now and then we like to embark on adventure projects, such as Jessie travelling to Byron Bay to provide glamping for the ‘Local Milk’ Slow Living Retreat in April 2015. Jessie was getting itchy feet again when she was approached by Dig + Fish and Brown Brothers to provide tents for a wild camping experience on the east coast of Tasmania. It was easy to say yes to the adventure since part of Jessie’s childhood was spent in Tasmania and we’re huge fans of Pinot Noir! The event, held…

Broadsheet NEXT Guide: Camping, But Not As You Know It

By | Event Hire, Media

The Broadsheet NEXT Guide recently published an article entitled “Camping, But Not As You Know It” by Imogen Eveson. Happy Glamper popped up in the feature, along with some other great Australian glamping services. Take a look! Image: Elle DS Photography __________ Camping is synonymous with heavy packs, damp sleeping bags and baked beans over an open fire. Or at least, it was. Across the Australian countryside, clusters of bell tents are popping up with all the trimmings of a boutique hotel. With ceilings high enough to allow you to stand, these tents come fully furnished with luxury bedding, rugs…

Glamping at Flowerdale Estate

By | Bell Tents, Event Hire, Glamping Australia
We had so much fun creating a large bell tent village at the stunning Flowerdale Estate in Broadford! A total of 72 people stayed in a combination of 4m bell tents (two people per tent) and 5m bell tents (three to four people per tent). As this was a corporate booking (i.e. no couples or families) we provided king-single stretcher beds and created all-men and all-women tents. These tents were customised with colourful linen and decorative touches such as door bunting. PrimoLife Magazine

By | Camping Mornington Peninsula, Glamping Mornington Peninsula, Media, Mornington Peninsula, The Slow Camp

Happy Glamper has been featured in the October 2015 issue of PrimoLife in WA! Trish Gallager from Ink and Cleaver wrote: When I was a young girl, my mother took me to the cinema to see the movie ‘Out of Africa’ with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. One scene from the film that is etched in my memory is Mr Redford standing by a bubbling rivulet washing Ms Streep’s hair from an enormous jug and a fancy bucket. Not being a particular romantic child or adult for that matter, it was one of those moments I was determined to recreate…
